Job Designation
The purpose of this position is to effectively manage large, complex supplier procurement activities and cross-functional relationships ensuring best practice purchasing techniques are applied at all times aligned with Meggitt policies and processes.
Job Core Responsibilities
Manage large, complex supplier relationships to ensure quality, cost, delivery, and responsiveness targets are achieved eradicating and/or escalating problems efficiently both internally and externally to minimize impact on our business. Develop and agree contracts as required and manage and enforce complex contractual obligations. Drive annual cost down and minimize supplier cost increases. Accountable for commodity Purchase Price Index (PPI) performance for designated commodities/products. Conduct large spend category requests for quotation, evaluation, negotiations, and sourcing activities as directed in order to obtain a full range of products and services from suppliers that meet planned performance targets and Meggitt guidelines. Raise orders and/or other demand signals accurately and on time to ensure all goods and services are supplied in accordance with customer and company requirements whilst at the same time optimizing levels of inventory. Manage day to day activities in support of the procurement of materials and services including obsolesce, engineering changes, part revisions, invoice issues, pricing discrepancies, expediting/de-expediting, cancellations, and the management of defective materials. Lead cross-function and senior level meetings internally and externally as required to ensure successful resolution of issues. Ensure compliance with government laws and regulations and company policies and processes. Manage system and supply chain performance parameters such as supplier contact information, lead times, minimum order quantities, delivery frequency, and schedules. Review performance data related to purchasing effectiveness and efficiency and take a leadership role in driving corrective actions where necessary. Proactively work with major suppliers and commodities to discover and exploit opportunities for continuous improvement, performance improvement, savings, and other efficiencies by working across supplier and internal organizations. Lead product development, VA/VE, supplier capacity analysis and other supplier engagement processes in support of departmental goals including supplier account reviews and appropriate account review action management.

Preferred qualifications - Experience with procurements in Aerospace, US government (prime or subcontractor) or both
Preferred qualifications - Experience with holding a role as an SBLO (Small Business Liaison Officer or being knowledgeable in the process creating and reporting small business subcontracting activity.
Ability to understand and follow specific instructions and procedures
Strong prioritization skills
Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, and web.
Ability to visualize and plan objectives and goals strategically
Ability to research and analyze data effectively
Ability to gather data, to compile information, and prepare reports
