Job Designation The Production Manager leads and manages the day-to-day production operations for on time delivery to Meggitt's customers, while aligning tasks with company policies and procedures. Responsible for production reorganization, managing vendors and consultants, as well as, internal employees. Job Core Responsibilities o Initiates plans and processes which minimize manufacturing costs through effective utilization of manpower, equipment, facilities, materials and capital o Ensures attainment of business objectives, and production schedules while ensuring product standards that meet or exceed our customer's expectations o Leads the Production Team in achieving tasks, schedules and goals o Develops a world-class operations organization by providing training, coaching and counseling, and top grading as appropriate o Confirms that resources are utilized effectively and drives improvements o Ensures general safety, compliance with relevant legislation, regulations and company requirements o Leads and directs work for team of employees as defined by business needs o Manages staff selection, performance, development and training processes to ensure team competencies and capabilities to reach the business goals and expectations o Other responsibilities as assigned o Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance o Regular, consistent and punctual attendance is required. May need to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and additional hours as necessary Job Specifications Education:
Bachelor degree or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectations Years'
Experience:
5 - 10 years of relevant experience in manufacturing environment Skills:
o Solid experience in production engineering, production management, or related activity o Experience with and advanced training in Lean manufacturing concepts and techniques with significant exposure to kanban managed supply chain o Experience working in highly-regulated industry preferred o Ability to understand and interpret blueprints and engineering specifications o Polymers and composites experience preferred o Ability to identify and resolve technical, operational and organizational problems o Excellent leadership, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills o Computer proficient, including MS Office; SAP knowledge a plus
Salary Range:
$100K -- $150K
Minimum Qualification
Plant & Facilities ManagementEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
